This week in JK1 our older athletes are working on floor routines! We are learning how to add our tumbling skills to music, while also using all of our space. It is super important as gymnasts and performers that we take up space and make ourselves seen. We are working on how to start and end our skills as well as perfect them. We are still using bars and vault this week, as well as the practicing our floor skills on the air track. On the bars we are working on our tap swings and straddle presses. As we move to vault, we are learning our handstand flat backs to eventually elevate our vaulting skills.
