JK Gymnastics offers three levels of competitive gymnastics instruction: Training Team, Intramural Team, and USAIGC Team. Interested gymnasts may inquire about an evaluation via email: firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling us at 484-472-8102. *Evaluations for all three teams happen every year in May.*
The Training Team program is for gymnasts 6 years and older who exhibit the necessary skills, work ethic and desire to be a competitive gymnast. This structured program allows the athletes to work toward team skills and prepares them to join JK's USAIGC Team in the future. This program is geared toward students & families who desire to be on the competitive team and understand the commitment that takes.
Gymnasts must be evaluated by the coaching staff and invited to join. Yellow and Black training teams are based solely on age. Yellow Training Team is composed of younger athletes who practices for 1-1/2 hours a week. Members of Training Team Black practice for 2 hours a week. Summer practices are mandatory for Training Team gymnasts.
Our in-house, Intramural Team is for recreational gymnasts who are looking for a taste of competitive gymnastics without the full, year-round commitment of our competition team. Intramural gymnasts compete in a series of mock meets throughout the year, held at JK Gymnastics; they compete against themselves and observe their progress from meet to meet.
A minimum of one, 2 hour practice is mandatory for intramural gymnasts.
Intramural Team does not have structured practices during the Summer months. Intramural gymnasts are strongly encouraged to register for a Queen Bee class and/or Tumble class during the Summer semester. Intramural gymnasts with aspirations of Training Team may also register to attend Training Team Black practices with permission from the instructor.
