Week 2 - Back to Basics

The focus of our week 2 classes is "Back to basics". Students will practice maintaining adequate spacing and pacing to prevent collisions during circuit activities. JK athletes will also work on reinforcing proper starting and finishing positions. Practicing consistent starting positions dramatically aids in skill acquisition by providing a common reference point to apply actions and corrections. Just as great mountain climbers start from basecamp, Gymnasts should also begin their journey from a common point. Climbers strive to reach to the summit, their final destination. Gymnasts have their own goal to reach; finish under control and positioned for the next skill. Start Strong. Bee Strong. Finish Strong!
